If your Mimio board is experiencing connection or performance issues, it may be caused by the “Share Network” setting being turned on. Disabling this feature can help stabilize the network connection.
Steps:
1. Open the Apps Menu
From the home screen of your Mimio board, tap the Apps icon on the left side of the screen.
2. Open the Settings Menu
Scroll through your app list and tap Settings.
3. Go to Network Settings
In the left-hand menu, tap Network & Internet (or simply “Network” depending on your version).
You will see options for Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and VPN.
4. Turn Off Network Sharing
At the bottom of the list, locate Share Network.
If the switch is on (blue), tap it once to turn it off.
Once this setting is turned off, your Mimio board will no longer attempt to share its network connection with other devices, which should prevent random connection drops and slow performance.
